According to the documentations[1] it says "JDK1.5 and latest", but there
are few issues with latest versions , specially with JDK 7 AFAIK. Here is a
discussion[1] happened about this subject ( moving axis2 compatibility to
JDK 6) almost two years ago. Hope this[3] will answer your problem.
