I'm using sun javac 1.5.0_01 and this compiles the current trunk without any problems, so I cannot reproduce the error msg. The common-build.xml file uses source and target 1.4 for javac, (in the compile macro) and I can't think of anything else that might cause the error msg. Btw, this message title mentions SpanTermQuery but below it sais SpanOrQuery.
