Luke project now happily enjoys a large user base :)
At the same time, it is still run by minimum development resources (like
many other active OSS projects, I know.)

To keep Luke up-to-date (at least, not to make it obsoleted) with Lucene's
evolution, we always need contributions from users.
I have cleaned up and organized old issues, and added "good first issue"
label (with some my implementation images) to issues which are easy to
resolve and good for learners.

For the most of the part, deep expert knowledge about internals of Lucene
APIs is not needed for development of Luke,
so I think it is the one of the best places to start learning.
