Hi,

I have implemented local printing in my application recently and is working
quite well for the most part. When I try and paint say a rectangle that has
a gradient fill or a textured fill, I get a huge printjob sent to the
printer. What's up? I do have double buffering turned off. Is this a bug?
Is there anyway around this?

You can see this in the 2D demo that comes with the Java 2 download. I
printed the GradientPaint rectangle located under the paint tab. It was
25.1MB!!!!!
I can provide a small example with the same behaviour if required.

System: PII-400 128MB ram
OS: NT40-SP3
Java: Java 2 FCS

thanks,
Scott
