I'm actually looking for a way to FTP an Image object held in 
memory to a GIF file on a remote server.  

However, I wasn't actually aware that you could change an applet's 
privilege's so easily in IE4 and this might actually prove to be a way 
to a solution.  

I wonder, though, whether this will work for plug-in applets or 
whether it only works for applets put into a web-page with the 
APPLET tag...

So, anyway, thanks for posting that.
