Ahhh! It seems that each version of Java I download implements the Area class one of two ways: Either it flattens curves or it maintains them. I really need the version that maintains them. The latest version I downloaded is "1.2.1_02" which flattens curves. I also have version "1.2.1-K" which maintains them. Yet another is "1.2_01_dev06_fcsV" which does...? So, customers of mine can download "1.2.1_02" from Sun's website, http://java.sun.com/products/ . What version is this in the grand scheme of things? Is it the final one for months and months to come? Can I expect to have a version that maintains the curves any time soon? Perhaps the JDC could post a version-to-feature mapping of some sort?
