> I am trying to use an Adobe font in my application. Can it be done? Can
you use a non true type font? My font of choice (MICR-TroyE13B) is in my
fonts folder under windows. I have already used the line
GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment
> ().getAvailableFontFamilyNames(); How can I get the JRE to see my font?
ANY help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did u placed getAllFonts() before getting names and families? Java really
need it to check all possible fonts. If font places under WINDOWS\FONTS then
there should be no problem...

Also in JDK1.3 exists way to just load your file directly, bypassing all
WINDOWS\FONTS things..

Sergei
