Cinzia, In the scenario described you have a PDF document prepared somehow outside of JDK. You have determined the document is correct by (for example) viewing it using acroread.
You use you JDK to open a port to the printer and stream the bytes to it. That's all JDK's doing - its not looking at the PDF at all. So JDK's not interpreting the fonts here. Its your printer. So if there's a problem its inside the printer, and you may need to call the support line for that printer. If you are on Unix just use lp or lpr to send your file to the printer - I'll bet you see the same problem. -phil. >Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >MIME-Version: 1.0 >Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit >X-Priority: 3 >X-MSMail-Priority: Normal >X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2600.0000 >Date: Fri, 28 Feb 2003 11:41:15 -0000 >From: Cinzia S <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: Re: [JAVA2D] PDF printing with different font >Comments: To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > >the proble is actually with printing, not creating PDF.
