This is SUN's new "Security Measure". When Java goes full screen, they
put that stupid gray status bar underneth. As a Java programmer,
I know of no way to keep that from happening. There are no doc's at SUN that even tells you that will happen when you go fullscreen.

HOWEVER: EasyPano Java viewer seems to be able to get around that
problem. It can go fullscreen without showing that stupid status
bar.

Try their Java viewer. The full screen switch is on a right button
menu.

I'm cross posting this message to one of SUN's development forums.

I suggest that any of you who are concerned about Java's utility as
a panorama viewer platform to join that forum and complain to that forum.

Notes.
In the middle of the layout proces a new Sun Java was installed on my PC - and due to some new security restrictions Immervisions fullscreen won't do real fullscreen anymore. The applet window doesn't cover the Start-meu bar and it has a grayish bar with the text "Java Applet Window". I have reported it to the Immervision team and they are looking into it to see if they can do anything about it.

Hi

I've made 3 different layout tests showing hi-res panos with thumbnail-selection and the plugin-detect script from DevalVR.

It works and looks fine here on my winxp pro PC both with IE6 an Firefox ( with some small differents) on a 1152 x 864 screen on a 17" monitor

a. I would like if those of you using other browsers and/or other OS could test and report if there is something not working. (In IE 6 I'm able to set the colours of the scroll-bar via CSS. It doesn't work in FF - How about other browsers?)

b. From mac-users with Pangea installed I would like to hear if the Auto-detect use Pangea (and perharps see a screen shot)

c. From those of you using bigger screen-size I'd also like to know if the thumbnails gets to small and/or if you think I should make some restrictions to the window-size? (The panos are generated from 5100 x 2550 equirectangular, so there might be an upper limit where it doesn't look good anymore)

I have used Pano2Qtvr to do the flash - I know that Flash Panorama Player gives a better quality and I might use it in the future.
