Hi,

I'm not a lawyer so I'm having a very hard time understanding this... What is
my legal status if I use the Java libraries to encode and decode JPEG2000
images? From what I've read on the web there are tons of companies claiming
that it is impossible to implement the JPEG2000 codec without infringing their
patents. Does that mean that I run the risk of getting sued of I use JPEG2000
in my Java-based application? I would appreciate it if someone could clarify
this or point me to someone who can.

Thank you,
Gili
