Hi, all: I went through the j3d archive regarding the Switch Node and came back still confused. Here are my questions.
I read that putting link leaves under the switch node has performance problem. Has this problem solved yet? The Shape3D objects under a switch node will not be rendered when they are switched off. If I have links under a switch node, when they are switched off, the Shape3D that these links pointing to will not be rendered, correct? Will these Shape3Ds pointed by links also sent to the video card, and then determined which to render there? In another words, can I use switch node to do a occlusion culling for the Shape3Ds that pointed by link leaves? Thanks in advance for any help and suggestion!
