Mike,

All I've heard is that Java3D will not work with Mesa on Sun platforms.
I've developed a rather cynical conspiracy theory that may explain Sun's
position on this. So far, every time it's been asked (as far as I'm aware)
the folks at Sun who usually jump right in on technical issues, have been
mysteriously silent when it comes to answering questions about providing
support for a port to Linux. Maybe we can prod them a little to at least
acknowledge that Sun has no interest in providing support for a port to
Linux. We then could perhaps organize another (semi-Blackdown style) group
to work on a port. Just a thought.
