Wanted to let everyone know about the Java Media Briefing to be held at Sun's
Menlo Park campus, on May 4th. The May 4 HQ Briefing will be a technical lecture
on all of our Java Media APIs, including Java Media Framework, Java 3D, Java
Sound, Java Speech, Java Advanced Imaging, and the Java Shared Data Toolkit. In
addition, Thomas Dolby Robertson will join us as a special guest speaker.

Sun's Java(TM) Multimedia API's enable developers to deliver on the
increasing demand for multimedia in the enterprise by providing a unified,
non-proprietary, platform-neutral solution. This set of API's supports the
integration of audio and video clips, 2D and 3D models and imaging, animated
presentations, speech input/output, and data collaboration.

At this Headquarter Briefing, you will get in-depth information on each of Sun's
key multimedia technologies. Highlighted will be how these technologies are
being used together to provide a Java-based solution for the technical
marketplace through the concept of Technical Java Computing. Web-based training,
CAD/CAE, and digital media management solutions based on Sun's Java Media APIs
will be showcased.

The Briefing will be held at Sun's Menlo Park, CA campus. Registration begins at
8:00 am. The Briefing starts at 9:00 am.
