Hi,

Can someone please tell me how to produce a correct stereo projection of
my java3D Universe. I just want it displayed on my monitor screen(s),
not using any special hardware.

I would like to know how to get the two images set up for viewers
looking at them from two different distances, and also how to apply a 2D
transformation to the image after the projection. I am mostly using a PC
so sun-specific things won't work.

Situation 1

The viewer is looking at two 5cm square images at a distance of 6cm from
the screen and
is looking through magnifying glasses so the images appear bigger. The
images are side by side on one screen.

Situation 2

The viewer is looking at full screen images (I think the monitor's
viewable area has about a 45cm diagonal) from a distance of 80cm. One of
the images is viewed in a mirror so it has to be reflected after the
projection is done.

Do the built-in left eye, right-eye views work for this sort of problem,
or should I use separate images with a shifted viewpoint? What distance
should I assume for the separation of the average person's eyes?

Any help would be appreciated. An example calculation or some example
code would be great.
