in the dis-java-vrml work, we have found that classes may remain cached
when multiple netscape windows are open. if shift-reload doesn't work
(which may indicate finalize/initialize problems) and cache clearing
doesn't work, then you likely need to close _all_ netscape windows
before resuming.
