Dear Thomas Ruge I'm not sure if anyone has answered anyone of your questions. However I've had limited experience with most of the issues you brought up. 1- I'm trying to have 2 views of the same scene each having their own frame. One problem is that the second view loses the texture maps (while the first view is fine). Second, objects start to "jump around" (jitter) in the second view when objects are moved. Third, I'm not able to add sound to my scene when I have two seperate frames (while everything works if both views are in the same frame). 2- As for stereo viewing, I believe there is a problem with it on PC and specially if your graphics card is FireGL. It however works very nicely on Sun using one command: canvas.setStereoEnable(true); I know that I didn't answer any of your questions and I apologize for that, but I'm just letting you know about the things I have found out. Gool luck. >Has anybody experience with different views of the same >scenegraph ? >did someone implement a stereo projection with two >polarized projectors >using two different views , or did anyone try other >multiprojection >stuff ? >Who has experiences with connecting VR-devices to >java3D, i heard some >manufacturer are developping Java3D drivers ? >I was experimenting around and wrote a program which >allows me to have 3 >different views of one scene, interacting in one canvas >which results in >change of the other two canvases, but i have these 3 >views in one frame, >but shouldnt be too hard to have each canvas in one >frame ? > >I hope this weren't too many questions, and every answer >or counter >question greatly appreciated. > >Thomas ===================================================================== To subscribe/unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Java 3D Home Page: http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/3D/
