No. but you can configure your web page to auto install the plug-in if they
don't have it. It is rather large so you may want to do a little convincing
that it's worth the wait. In time Java 2 will be included with new browsers
but until that time comes it's the only way.
btw. with Java 2 and the Media pack you can listen to
MP3's, view Flash 2 files, view many video formats, ect.

The default config is fine they shouldn't be messing with it unless they
know what they are doing (or curious). This problem didn't come up for me
when I wanted to show some people Java 2 content on a "Clean Machine".

Unfortunately the user is going to have to download and install the Java3D
files. I'd suggest letting them know and putting the link.
The install program however seems by default to put in the correct
place for Java3D to work.
(at least on the 3 machine's I've tried it on so far).
this may seem to be a pain but if you want to view 3D content you'll need
download and install a VRML player. and If you want to view streaming Media
you'll have to do the same for RealPlayer, MediaPlayer, or QuickTime.
these are rather large downloads too.
I've created a rough guide to the install proccess since I found it to
be such a pain in the *#^% the first time I tried to do it.
now it goes like clockwork (at least on winDoze systmes).
I'll create a better guide when I get around to posting more Java3D
and Media content of my own. Here is the link ...

good luck and have fun.
