I forgot who first posted the key navigator behavior a long time ago, but kudos to whoever did that. I would guess that the Java3D team just added the key navigator behavior as a "oh, sure, we can add that pretty quickly. *boom*. there ya go, now we are going to work on some of our threading bugs" In my own opinion, I can see getting all of that nice functionality into the key behavior(acceleration, radian support, etc.) as being important, but not as important as say threads still running when Java3d stops running, or no object finalization sometimes. I would recommend that since the source code for the key navigator is out there, and you are working on the key navigator, do the mods yourself and post here at this sight. I think everyone would love that and then anyone else who uses this site can use the new code, and save the java3d team some time.
