Hi all,

we have developed a double cell robot simulation system called Bart+Rosie.
Try it out:

        http://coli.lili.uni-bielefeld.de/~milde/java3d/software

Download the system, unzip it, start Setup.bat, then start br-start.bat.

Up to now it does not do a lot. you can instruct the robots using simple
german instructions (see below).

We have integrated a very fast collision engine. Try out to insert new
objects into the scene.

Have fun

WELCOME TO BART and ROSIE
-----------------------

Bart&Rosie has been developed at the university of Bielefeld by members
of the technical faculty and the linguistic faculty.

Installing the programm
-------------------------------------
Simply start the

       Setup.bat

file in the unzip version of your downloaded system. This will install
the programm.

Please do NOT delete the unzipped version of the installer until you have
deinstalled the programm or are willing to use it over a longer period
of time.

Installation will only take part in the chosen directory ... nothing else
will be installed ! If deinstallation for any reason should not work correctly,
simply delete the directory you installed bart+rosie in.

Staring the programm
-------------------------
Start the programm using

      br-start

in subdirectory

   installdir\bart+rosie\br-start.bat

Please be patient until message box comes up ... click ok, shortly afterwards
bart and rosie will appear on the screen :)

UNINSTALL of PROGRAM
--------------------
1. Click on the uninstall icon added to the
   start menu or desktop folder.

OR

2. Go to the Add/Remove Programs dialog in the
Windows Control Panel and remove the program.

Playing with the system
-----------------------------
it is possible to instruct the system by giving it german instructions like

   nimm den roten block
stapel den roten block auf den weissen block
stapel den roten block auf den blauen block

colors it knows are

roten, blauen, schwarzen, gruenen, gelben, weissen

You can also easily adobt the system to any language. Have a look at the
file
        siola.pl

which defines the grammar.

Have fun

Bart+Rosie Team
