I use Visual J++ to compile Java 3D programs. What I had to do was force
Visual J++ to look for the jar files used by Java3D and Java2. Under the
properties for the project, there will be a "Classpath" tab. Click on the
"New" button and enter the directory path for each of the jar files that are
used by Java2 and Java3D. The jar files that I have added are
"j3dutils.jar", "vecmath.jar", "j3dcore.jar", "j3daudio.jar", and "rt.jar".
Once I did this I didn't have any problems compiling a Java 3d project.
