Good idea and it works to hide the flash on the background but we still have
a flash over all the scenegraph objects (which appear to disappear because
the flash color is now the same as the background color). I am putting
together a sample program called BugDemo.java which will make it to this
bboard sometime today. I also have a registered bug with SUN on this topic.

You like that too? I tend to set the background color of the
canvas (I'm talking AWT here) to the same color I happen to use
for the J3D Background node I'm using. It still flashes, but
it flashes the same color so you don't notice it..
