Vladimir

I'm sorry if some of your past issue/reported-bugs slipped thru the cracks.
I am the guy Doug was refering to months ago who is responsible for sound
issues.

(1) Java 3D 1.2 has new methods for setting and getting the threadPriority
        MasterControl.set/getThreadPriority()
    which I believe can be used to ensure that the Java 3D render threads do
    NOT starve any other Java threads (such as those executing AudioClip).
(2) This is the first I've heard that frequent enable/disabled on a single
    sound left the sound running forever even when the query isPlaying returned
    false. I will test this under 1.2 (which is more rubust in regards to queing
    applications requests without synchronization issues in the rendering)
    and file a bug if this problem still exists under 1.2.
(3) As I mensioned in a earlier reply the problem with playing MIDI files as
    BackgroundSounds is a bug that we'll make every effort to fix by Java 3D
    1.2 FCS.
(4) It concerns me that you found that "[no] 2 wav or midi files [could] be
    played concurrently on Windows". This is serious and will be looked at ASAP.

Thank you for all your recent comments. I hope to address them in a timely
manner.
