Our school is quite active in Java3D programming, therefore I would like
to present a few projects realized.

SceneBuilder Java3D http://www.hta-bi.bfh.ch/Projects/SceneBuilder/
The aim of the project SceneBuilder was the development of a Java3D
Rapid-Application-Development Tool for the visual creation of
Java3D-scene-graphs and the following automatical generation of the
corresponding Java3D source code. Properties of the scene graph nodes
can easily be specified at creation time and changed afterwards.

ColorSpace http://www.hta-bi.bfh.ch/~swc/DemoJ3D/ColorSpace/
The selection of objects in a color image shall be improved in this work
by merely operating on the color space of the image. The application
constructed during the time given is able to load an image, operate on
it's color space and save the image on disk again, Java standard and
Java3D is used to fulfill those requirements. The application further
enables the user to select objects in color space, manipulate them, and
perform operations on the selection in color space, yielding a
modification of the entire 2D image.

VirtualPlants http://www.hta-bi.bfh.ch/~swc/DemoJ3D/VirtualPlants/
This project shows one or more 3D branching structures like bushes,
trees or flowers in a landscape, all created with Java3D. The plants are
generated with a so-called Lindenmayer system, which just describes the
rules and regularity of the plants. Special is that the plants are not
just static but they grow with time. The user may first choose where on
the landscape he wants to place what plant and adjust some other
features, then he can walk around in the virtual scene and see the
plants grow.
