Well, to keep on the tradition (very good in my opinion), here another
project goes - a realtime game Driving Simulator.
The link is http://www.arcadia.spb.ru/java3d/
It actually could easily be run both as an applet and as an
application, maintains the same relative size on any resolution (if
run as an application), scales and positions the components in order
to maintain the same relative sizes and proportions and much more.
Well, check this out yourself. Just don't be too strict - it has been
written almost entirely by myself and there definitely is much to
improve there (the controls is the first thing i guess). Unlike the
project announced here some time ago, this application does need
hardware acceleration in order to run properly. And don't forget to
download the vrml extension (the link is on the page) - compelled to
use it because currently LightWave objects can't be loaded via URL and
i need to import colors (and not programmatically, so that any decent
3D designer could easily modify the 'look and feel' of car)

Hope to get some feedback from u, guys, whatever it is (guess it
is better sent directly to my email not to overload this mailing
list). Your opinion is highly and very appreciated. Actually
evaluation like 'Like'/ 'Dislike' in the subject of email would
already be very informative 4 me. And if u'll find the time to write
smth particular in the body of the letter, that would be just REALLY
great.

Thanks everyone 4 your help, interesting questions and answers. Thank
u all (sounds like a farewell, but it is actually not, not right now
at least :) )

vladimir
