hi alex,

"it works only one time", this reminds me of the problems i had.

during drag-and-drop with java it is important to call certain functions, or
you will crash your (virtual or physical) machine. for example, if you do
not call dropFinish (or what was its name) at the end of the dnd operation,
the VM will hang (and windows9x too), as of my experience.

when you want the dnd operation to fail, you must still call the functions,
specifying a negative result code (a la dropFinish(false)).

i think the crash comes because the native peer is waiting for a message
(namely, end of drop) and if you don't give it, it is waiting endlessly.

look into the dnd examples and the dnd specifications for more.

Subject: [JAVA3D] DnD and Canvas3D

Hello,

Are here someone who tried to DnD to the Canvas3D?
I have my own class that extends Canvas3D and implements
    DropTargetListener

This canva is mixed with the swing components
and if the cursor enters canva then the JRE together with the IE hangs

    I succeed only 1 time.

Everything works just fine if instead of the canva3d Im using
    simple button that implements DropTargetListener

May be someone have few lines of code that can help?
    Thank you

Im rhythmus bleiben,
