Hello,

I want to discus why Java 3D is limited for multi views usage ?

By Multi views, I say a universe with multi ViewPlatform (View, Canvas3d...)
rendering on screen,
like a XY view, YZ view, Perspective view.

I explain the limitation I see:

-The Behavior node like Billboard, LOD work only with One main View, not
with all the view.
 From JDK 1.2 Help
Billboard node : "Note that in a multiple View system, the alignment is done
to the primary View only. "

-Java3D 1.2 add OrientedShape3D, it 's good idea, but can be extented to
other node ?
Why a not TransformGroupOriented ?, a Transform Group with fixe size on
screen ?

-No possibility to make Head Light for just one viewer, you can make
Directional light under transfromGroup of
the ViewPlatform, but the light is present for all the viewer, and have
interaction on other view.

-SharedGroup can't have behavior node, and can't be shared by different
universe.

Why this limitation ?
Somethings I don't understand ?
Nobody need multi view possibilities ?
Did the Java3G group forget this possibility or is it a design way ?

Thanks
