I spent some time on your code, it was working fine from the dos prompt but I wasnt able to test it in the browser since I have installed java3d 1.2 beta. And I, myself, am having problems with textures. try the following code >>> TextureLoader loader = new TextureLoader( new URL(getCodeBase(), "earth.jpg"), this); >>> if ( loader!=null ) appear.setTexture(loader.getTexture()); also. change the sphere size to 0.8f or less otherwise on my browser it was filling up the whole frame and I wasnt able to see anything. >>> objSpin.addChild(new Sphere(0.8f, Primitive.GENERATE_TEXTURE_COORDS,appear)); if it still dont work tell me I will look more into it. and do me a favor. go to my friends site www.vr-fx.com and check out my demo http://www.vr-fx.com/3d_work/Terraforming/show.html if the images are showing up I can send you my code for that. I dont have much details on the page but. u can move around with mouse or keyboard. and click on the image to rotate it and double click to view it. HOME to go back if u r lost. thanks. Ahmed, Thanks for your quick response. The background of my applets scene graph is white. The sphere doesn't show up because it's also white (by default) and I'm not able to get an image into its texture. By the way, I'm using jdk1.2.2, java3D1.1.3, Windows98 and NT. I use a Mac to upload the files to the internet but I don't think that's relevant since the applet does run and the image does show up in a browser. -Raffi =========================================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff JAVA3D-INTEREST".
