Though this isn't really the right place to discuss this ( comp.lang.java.gui
would be better ) you can do the following, assuming you are using a class
derived from a Frame ...

  Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("someGroovoIcon.gif");
  this.setIconImage(image);         // where this = Frame or JFrame or Window
or JWindow .....

should do the trick
