I have found a bug in Java3D 1.2 beta2 or driver problems that are only exploited in beta2. We are trying to set-up a 3 monitor visualization system using Java3D with this hardware config: WinNT Service Pack 5 Dual Pentium III 733 768M RAM 133 bus Graphics: 3 3DLabs Oxygen GVX1 - 1 AGP - 2 PCIs for a 3 monitor display. We have run several other apps (Maya, Creator, etc.) across all three monitors with correct results. When we run Java3D 1.1.3 everything renders correctly EXCEPT the aspect ratio - but that is a unknown bug in 1.1.3, I've seen it on the list. When we run Java3D 1.2 beta2 the aspect ratio is fixed, but the Background object renders in FRONT of all other geometry in the scene. This has not happened on any other cards we've tested (GeForce, FX6) so it would seem as though it is driver problems. The reason I believe this is a bug and not driver problems, is that Java3D 1.1.3 renders Backgrounds just fine, same drivers. If a picture would help, I'd be glad to send one. -- __________________________________________________________ Shawn Kendall Full Sail Real World Education Course Director 3300 University BLVD Real Time 3D for Gaming Winter Park FL 32792 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.fullsail.com __________________________________________________________ =========================================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff JAVA3D-INTEREST".
