hi,
you can build a shape3D that is totaly transparant and apply a texture to
it that consists of a GIF image with transparent background. Texture format
must be of RGBA.
See class Appearance and class TransparencyAttributes how to make your
object transparent.

Hi,
I'd like to apply an image (gif) with alpha transparency to a surface and
have
the underlying object be transparent where the alpha channel is 0.
Is this possible? Anyone send a doc pointer or code snipper?
TIA,
JR
