Wouldn't this be a good Java3D project. A J3D applet or application which extends the javadoc app to generate a full recursive 3D map when any JAR is passed into it. The 3D map could provide links to HTML javadoc type pages when a class is clicked on. Seems the guys at sun might support this, what better way to demonstrate the power of Java3D than to use it to show it's own guts? I personally don't have enough experience to tackle this project, but will help wherever I can. The problem is that the image is a) old (probably v1.0) b) corrupted I'd like to get the thing updated to the current 1.2 specification and also show it in UML. I was wondering if someone on the list has a decent code reverse-engineering tool that could produce a set of UML diagrams of the java3d classes. I've got UML tools here, but the reverse engineering capabilities leave a _lot_ to be desired. If anyone is interested in helping me out, please contact me privately and I'll let you know the details. My wish list consists of the following: - Full UML description of the classes as PNG image(s) for the core package as well as the Vecmath package. - Optional nicety would be to cover all of the utility APIs. - The source file in XMI (The XML representation of UML structures) format would be lovely too! However RR seems to be a fairly common standard too these days... The text and other writeups I'll take care of, just would like the images. Of course credit will be given too. -- Justin Couch Author, Java Hacker Snr Software Engineer [EMAIL PROTECTED] rbuzz.net http://www.vlc.com.au/~justin/ Java3D FAQ http://www.j3d.org/faq/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Look through the lens, and the light breaks down into many lights.
