At JavaOne, the Apple reps wouldn' t commit to doing Java3D, while they were clearly committed to JDK 1.3.

Subject: Re: [JAVA3D] J3D and Apple?

Hi,

I heard on the radio this past weekend that Apple Computers has some
agreement with Sun that their (Apple's) next OS (OS 10?) would
be completely integrated with Java. So Java apps should run "seamlessly"
on Apple computers.

Would this include Java 3D?
Anyone hear anything more about this?
When is Apples OS 10 due out?
Any comments from the Java 3D Developement team?

As of May 25, Apple released Mac OS X Developper preview 4
It *DOES* include Java2
It doesn't include Java3D (well, I haven't found it yet ;-) )
OS X is due to first quarter next year but a public
beta will be available this summer.

I still don't know how I will run java3D on Mac OS X but I believe
this is the Java3D developement team that is doing the job...

Does anyone knows when a Java3D beta will be available for Mac OS ?
