Hello!

I have been looking at something called cult3d. Basically it is a plugin
whic allows you to display an interactive 3d model on your website.

(if you are curius just check out www.cult3d.com )

It doesn't cost anything to get the plugin, but if you want to display a
model built in the cult3d format on your website you have to pay licence
money to the owners of cult3d.

My question basically is: why aren't everyone using java3d to display these
interactive 3d models on their sites? Java3d is free, so you do not have to
pay any licencing money, and java3d can be arranged so that the surfer does
not have to do anything to get it to display the first time he or she surfs
by the site displaying java3d content.

What are the disadvantages with java3d as compared with cult3d?

Best regards
Thomas
