If I'm understanding you corectly, you want to display points in 3D space. This
is very easy with Java3D create a PointArray object and pass it into a Shape
object, and place the Shape object in your scene.
Now if you want to perform volumetric operations or special effects like
liquids, fire, smoke, or clouds, Thats something else altogether. Having
attempted this myself (as time permits) I truly believe Java3D will do all of
the above, my computer however isn't powerful enough [P-133 / 64mb]
