I updated our application to Java3D 1.2, and the beautiful transparency
(illustrating intersecting objects) that worked great in Java3D 1.1.3 went --
pardon the technical jargon -- all higgledy-piggledy. Some shapes were rendered
in solid colors, and some in non-expected orders.

I'm using lighting, appearances with BLENDED transparency, ColoringAttributes,
and no Material attributes.

After reading through a few months posts on transparency and projected release
dates, and bug 4345505 ("Multiple transparent objects do not render correctly"),
my understanding is that it's a bug:
* in the current release of Java3D (1.2)
* which is fixed in Java3D 1.2.1
* which isn't expected to be released until the summer of 2001
* which is when we find the obelisk on the moon
* and until then, I'm stuck using Java3D 1.1.3.

Can anyone confirm these bits of understanding?
