I am bumping this up again. I would like to see if this is a known problem.

Subject: [JAVA3D] Java3d MIPMAP versus hardware mipmap.
When I upgraded my Diamond TNT Ultra drivers, the control panel for the
drivers have a whole bunch of settings. Of of these settings is for
MPMAPing. They have 5 quality versus performance settings. You can also
pick a the extact method for the interpolation. Unfortunately there is no
OFF. Since I upgraded my drivers I cannot use Java3d's MIPMAP texture
settings. The two seem to conflict. When I am running throught the scene I
see my textures flip back and forth from high to low detail, as the
different policies are competing. When I turn Java3d's MIPMAP off, the
scene starts working fine, in fact it produces extremely fluid mipmapping.
Anyone else run into this?
