Hi Daniel,
If you are using Java3D v1.2 beta for DirectX,
there is currently some open bugs for it.
4369628 D3D: Crash when strip set vcount > 65535
4368116 D3D: sometime crash when GeometryByReference non-interleaved
array use
4368117 D3D: crash when DecalGroup is used
4375339 D3D: may crash when changing Geometry with color attributes or
unsetting Texture
The first three bugs is fixed in the upcoming v1.2.1 beta1.
The last one is fixed in next v1.2.1 beta2 release.
For Java3D v1.2 FCS for OpenGL, there is an open bug,
4375326 - J3d crash: unexpected exception has been detected in native
code outside the VM
That may cause the crash.
Thanks.
