Be aware you need to set the interpolator startTime to the current time in
order to work as you expect. This happens probably because you create the
interpolators whenever you load the VRML files, so you need to set the
interpolator startTime to current time, because the other interpolator
parameters are relative to startTime.
The code should look something like this:
