On a related note, for those of you who use Unix-based systems with
XFree86, I cannot strongly enough recommend installing the freely available
TrueType and Postscript fonts and enabling support for these fonts in your
X server.
Using X after doing so is a *completely* different experience (Netscape
even looks decent!) and it frustrates me that after years of available our
default servers on nearly all platforms are still using archaic font
technologies.
