But Winzip won't know which drive to install to, nor will it know if the
user installed to non-default directories.  Installshield unfortunately
costs a small fortune.

I'd like to see documentation of how to detect where the user has Java
installed.  Then it wouldn't be too tough to write something to check
for Java 3D, perhaps even compare file sizes and dates (for version
checking) and install the files ourselves.  But I feel unless you go to
a professional installer like Installshield you might as well just
provide the user with Sun's installer and let it do it's thing.
