HI All:

this list is great, lots of good information so far. ok here's the
question:

I have a scene in a universe, it a college campus with lots of small
buidling models overlayed on a big 3d model. so the big 3d model is just
buildings as squares, and we have specific buildings which we
details/texture stuck in the scene. we have the big model transparent so
it all looks nice.
Id like to create an area within the scene in which nothing is rendered.
say a cube which i can define and within the cube the view should be
blank, so that if i move the viewing platform there i get a clear view
towards the closests objects outside the cube.
and i can't stick in a solid background color cube becuase then if i move
there i would only see solid blank.

any ideas would help.
