Depending on what it is you are trying to control you might want to take
a look at "3D User Interfaces with Java 3D" chapters 4, which includes
display and world-relative mouse mapping, chapters 14 and 23, which
describe drag-and-drop in 3D, and chapters 13 and 19, which deal with
picking and specifically ways to pick and drag world objects and have
them stick to your cursor.
