Please disregard the poor grammar in the first letter. Is Sun hiring new programmers to extend the Java 1.3 3D API? I have developed a simple 2D drawing JApplet for my computer graphics class. It implements the primitive operations such as: line drawing, circle drawing, polygon filling, circle filling, pattern filling, picking, and deleting. I used the drawRect method in the Graphics class to implement low level pixel drawing operations. The drawing utility uses two buffers. The first buffer handles previously drawn polygons. The second buffer handles newly drawn polygons. I redeveloped the vecmath functionality, so that I can pick polygons with the mouse. I developed an optimized scan line algorithm for filling arbitrary polygons. I am currently learning how to implement 3D computer graphics. I'm really interested in 3D applications, and I would love to work on Sun's 3D Java extension. I am graduating in August 2001 with a bachelors degree in computer science. My applet is at www.cs.uno.edu/~kkelly/drawingPad.html . I have sent my resume through www.sun.com, but I have not received a response. Additionally, I have programmed in Java for 4 years. I would love to work for Sun on any Java programming project. I can furnish my resume, drawingPad source code, and references upon request. I am willing to relocate. I can be reached during the following times: Monday Wednesday, and Friday 4:00-11:00 CST.
