Hmmm.  just about to implement the geometry in the vrml loader.  Seems
strange to me that the tristrips are
being outperformed by the triangles.  Any guess as to why that is
happening?

Is this one run or did you average several runs?

Maybe the compile option is doing something better with the triangles
then how you tristripped them?
