Subject: Distance from the screen.
I want to pan and zoom an object in a view window. When I grab the object and pan I
want the object to remain fixed to the mouse cursor. Of course, when I zoom in or out
on the object, the mouse coordinates wont match up with world coordinates. The
further away i move the object the slower it is going to appear to move, and it
certainly wont keep up with the mouse
I know how far back the object is from the screen, but I dont know how far in front of
the screen the focal point? If I knew this I could just use the triangle to figure out
how far to move the object relative to the mouse movement.
Hope this made sense :(
