Well I fixed the machine, but I fixed it too well. So well in fact that the root account is *completely* disabled - nobody can get into it. I've given up and have decided to completely rebuild the box from scratch. The OS was getting very old and very patched so it will lead to a nice fresh clean install. I expect j3d.org and all the other sites on this machine to be down on tuesday or wednesday and will probably be out of action for a couple of days. I have to get my ISP on the other side of the country to do the major rebuild to start with and then I'll look after the rest remotely. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience for those needing bits and code (in the meantime I'm doing _lots_ of hacking on the code repository. Lotsa goodies will be there once it comes back online!) -- Justin Couch http://www.vlc.com.au/~justin/ Freelance Java Consultant http://www.yumetech.com/ Author, Java 3D FAQ Maintainer http://www.j3d.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Humanism is dead.
