Back from the programming dead (sort of).
I've recently started maze-building. I have a
working prototype of a random orthogonal maze (the
grid type most people are used to) and it shouldn't
take long (about the time needed to finish a difficult
programming homework assignment) to hack out either a
random circular maze or a random hexagrid maze.
One of the long-term goals for this project is a
computer rendition of a mirror maze. (Another is to
extend the concept of randomly but interestingly
placed obstacles around the arena to FPS games in
order to minimize the utility of "camping", but that
is another story.) I've heard that "real" mirror
textures are just now being implemented; in the
meantime, I'd like to know if anyone has implemented
"fake" mirror textures and can advise me on the
feasibility of doing them in J3D.
Thanks in advance.
