We have now reach a point of relative stability in the Xj3D VRML loader.
We'd really like to get some user testing of the code as it's fairly
rock-solid (at least in our opinion!).

We currently have a Win32 InstallShield installer available for end user
use but no unix based installers, or even Zip files. However, if you are
CVS capable, then you can grab your own code directly.

This code can be used as a standard Java3D loader, or a full VRML
environment with all the bells and whistles. Alternatively, you can use
just parts, such as the VRML parser to do your own thing. We like
everyone and try to support all the different needs :)

The installer is available at

http://www.web3d.org/TaskGroups/source/Xj3dInstall.exe
http://www.web3d.org/TaskGroups/source/Xj3dInstallFull.exe

depending on whether you need the JDK installed or not.

Under the <install-dir>/examples area you will find a number of test
applications - a simplified browser, an editor and some example programs
on how to interact with the VRML scenegraph using DOM and the new SAI
code.

As a special note for this list, we're using a lot of the code from the
j3d.org code repository as part of the browser. It acts as a good test
and demo of what is available.
