does anybody know whether future releases of the Java3D API will use vertex or pixel shaders for effency reasons ?
 
AFAIK should the use of vertex-shaders no a huge problem, especcially for the directX version and furthermore they can be software emulated insteed of pixewl-shaders, needing the right hardware (e.g. GeForce 3).
