Folks, Alan is heading off to the development meetings later in the week to work out what the next steps for the Xj3D loader should be. He's already taking feedback from the VRML community. I'm asking the J3D community that use the loader what they would like to have done next in terms of priority. Feel free to get detailed about which particular node or piece of a node you want implemented as it all helps. BTW, we know about a non Win32 installer and also a lite installer without JDK and J3D. They are being actively worked on now and we're hoping for something by the end of the week. The lite installer is done, but for some reason it is still keeping two copies of the JDK so we have to figure out what it's up to. With that, we should have an installer that is around 12MB all up (it includes documentation and everything else). On the list at the moment are two very big ticket items - Protos and scripting. We have a couple of months to Siggraph and I don't know whether we can do both of these in time for that, so an indication of which is preferred to be tackled first is sought. As it is very likely that I'll be implementing both then a priority is needed. My thoughts are for protos first followed by scripting (I'd like to be able to load H-Anim models for some other projects).
